"LEGACY OF LOVE" 125 Years of Grace
St. John's Lutheran Church, Honey Creek, 125th Anniversary Celebration June 23, 2019. Do you have pictures of church events you would like to share (i.e. confirmations, baptisms, weddings or anything else). If so, contact Jennifer Vaughn. She can be reached at wittjenn@gmail.com.

Monday Evenings at 7 PM (no class the 2nd Monday of Month) EVERYONE is invited to a special Bible study, "I Have Good News for You" on Monday events at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Many questions will be asked like: What is God like? Why did He make the world and me? What's my purpose on earth? Is faith real or just pie in the sky? What are the Sacraments good for? Life - can I be happier? Is there more to life than eating, working, playing, and sleeping? Tomorrow - anticipated or feared? What happens at death? What is eternal life? Are most people going to heaven? Can I know beyond a doubt that I'm going to heaven?

The Board of Education will be planning monthly Congregation Servant Events. The servant events will be on the fourth Saturday of each month. All members of the congregation, young and old, are encouraged to attend!

If Tri-Center Schools are closed or close early due to weather conditions, all church activities involving the youth will be cancelled that day.

For St. John's 125th Anniversary, we would like to get a congregational choir together to sing a couple of songs at the anniversary worship service. If you are interested in being in this choir, please let Nancy Rodenburg know so music can be ordered. You can contact Nancy at roden47@cox.net

St. John's Cookbook
We still have some St. John's Cookbooks left. The cost is $10 per book. Please talk to Shiree Jensen or Alice Goodell to get your copy.

RightNow Media!
Our church now has access to an extensive, new video library called RightNow Media that has a HUGE library of faith-based video Bible studies that you can access whenever and wherever you want-on your phone, iPad, computer, or at home on your TV.

RightNow Media has videos for everyone-kids, youth, parents, married couples, college students, single adults, working professionals-all aimed at helping you grow in your faith. If you have not signed up yet, please do so. Did we mention that it is free? If you deleted your invitation, let Nancy know and she will send you another invite.

If you have found a video course you like and would like to recommend it to others, let Pastor know.

Christian Estate Planning
Will your financial support of the mission of our congregation end at your death? By including a gift to our congregation in your will or trust your giving can continue even after your death. SUMMER TEEN VOLUNTEER PROGRAM - Bethany Lutheran Home and Bethany Heights are looking for some great volunteers between the ages of 14-18 to be a part of our Summer Teen Volunteer program. Teen Volunteers interact with residents and tenants, participate in activities, games and outings (ex. Zoo, Museums, Music in the Park, fishing at Lake Manawa, etc.) and assist where needed. If you are looking for an opportunity for a rewarding experience and willing to commit 2-4 hours per week, please contact Kaily Stanley at 712-328-9500, ext. 230 to sign up.

BETHANY AUXILIARY MEETING - The Bethany Auxiliary will be meeting Monday evening, July 9th at Bethany Heights. A short business meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. followed by Bingo and a pie social with the tenants. Please note the time change from the regular meeting time. Contact your church key lady for more information.

GARDEN PRODUCE ALWAYS APPRECIATED - We all enjoy the taste of homegrown vegetables and fruits over the summer. Many of the residents and tenants were avid gardeners in their day and miss the taste of homegrown foods. If you are gardening this summer and have extra produce you would like to share, please feel free to drop it off at Bethany Heights or Bethany Lutheran Home during the week. We would greatly appreciate it and the smile you'll see on the faces of our residents and tenants is priceless!
