Please join us on Sunday mornings at 9 AM in the fellowship hall at church.

"Bring Your Neighbor To Church" Sunday
This Sunday (and every Sunday) is "Bring your neighbor to church" Sunday. Do you know someone who is unchurched or their church attendance has lapsed? Invite them to come with you to church this Sunday. You'll be glad you did.

Dwelling 1:14
-Dwelling 1:14 meets every 4th Sunday evening at 6:30 PM. Next meeting is Sunday, July 22nd (June meeting is cancelled due to Pastor will be District Convention. . More information on location to follow on location of July meeting.
-The 2nd group Dwelling 1:14 will meet Sunday, June 24th after church in the fellowship hall. There will be a potluck and we will be studying Greg Finke's book Joining Jesus Show Me How. Please see Terry Royer if you have any questions.

ITEMS NEEDED
-Empty clean ketchup bottles with caps and Golf Tees. Please give to Shirley Kading or drop off in the church office. These items are needed for upcoming projects.
- NEW GREETING CARDS NEEDED-Bethany Heights is running low and in need of new greeting cards. The greeting cards are displayed in a rack and available to the tenants free of charge. A number of tenants take advantage of this opportunity to stay connected with family and friends. Types of cards that are especially popular include Birthday, Thank-You (not blank cards), Get Well Soon, Thinking of You/Friendship, Sympathy and Anniversary. We will also take Christmas Cards year round. The cards can be dropped off at Bethany Heights or drop off in the church office.

MISSON BOARD - COLLECTING DONATIONS FOR OPEN DOOR MISSION
The Mission Board will be taking donations of winter apparel and shoes to donate to Open Door Mission. Please bring in coats, snow pants, boots, hats and gloves to keep those less fortunate warm next winter. We will also take donations of any footwear you would like to get rid of. Please place your donations in the tub sitting by the Children's Church table in the Fellowship Hall now through the end of June. Thank You!

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE (& GARAGE SALE)
The Board of Missions is sponsoring a Blood Drive on June 30th from 9-2. There will also be a garage sale. If you would like to donate items, please have to church by Thursday, June 28rd. All proceeds will go to St. John's Mission Board. There is also an option to set up your own table. Please see a Mission Board member for more info/questions. Board of Mission Members: Attalee Brix, Jennifer Vaughn, Tammy Meyer, Heidi Erwin.

Printed copies of the minutes from the 1st Qtr Voters Meeting held Sunday, June 3rd are available on the table outside the sanctuary.

Endowment Committee will meet July 15th in the back of the sanctuary following church service.

St. John's Cookbook
We still have some St. John's Cookbooks left. The cost is $10 per book. Please talk to Shiree Jensen or Alice Goodell to get your copy.

RightNow Media!
Our church now has access to an extensive, new video library called RightNow Media that has a HUGE library of faith-based video Bible studies that you can access whenever and wherever you want-on your phone, iPad, computer, or at home on your TV.

RightNow Media has videos for everyone-kids, youth, parents, married couples, college students, single adults, working professionals-all aimed at helping you grow in your faith. If you have not signed up yet, please do so. Did we mention that it is free? If you deleted your invitation, let Nancy know and she will send you another invite.

If you have found a video course you like and would like to recommend it to others, let Pastor know.

Toner Cartridge Recycling
There is a receptacle in the narthex at church (under the coat rack) where used toner/ink cartridges may be placed for recycling.

Serving the Meal at Mohm's Place
St. John's will be helping to serve meals at Mohms' Place every third Saturday of the month. We will be helping again on Saturday, June 16, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. If you can help, just show up at Mohms' Place at 4:30 p.m. We especially need men to help out. Thank you.

Nibbles Sign-up

Crescent Food Pantry News
The Pantry is open Tuesdays 5-7:00 pm and Saturdays 1-3:00 pm (Phone: 712-545-9031). Thank you to everyone for donating money and food products benefiting the Crescent Food Pantry! I could not do the work at the Pantry without all of you. Thank you and God bless. Tammy Meyer

BETHANY NEWS
SUMMER TEEN VOLUNTEER PROGRAM - Bethany Lutheran Home and Bethany Heights are looking for some great volunteers between the ages of 14-18 to be a part of our Summer Teen Volunteer program. Teen Volunteers interact with residents and tenants, participate in activities, games and outings (ex. Zoo, Museums, Music in the Park, fishing at Lake Manawa, etc.) and assist where needed. If you are looking for an opportunity for a rewarding experience and willing to commit 2-4 hours per week, please contact Kaily Stanley at 712-328-9500, ext. 230 to sign up.

BETHANY AUXILIARY MEETING - The Bethany Auxiliary will be meeting Monday evening, July 9th at Bethany Heights. A short business meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. followed by Bingo and a pie social with the tenants. Please note the time change from the regular meeting time. Contact your church key lady for more information.

GARDEN PRODUCE ALWAYS APPRECIATED - We all enjoy the taste of homegrown vegetables and fruits over the summer. Many of the residents and tenants were avid gardeners in their day and miss the taste of homegrown foods. If you are gardening this summer and have extra produce you would like to share, please feel free to drop it off at Bethany Heights or Bethany Lutheran Home during the week. We would greatly appreciate it and the smile you'll see on the faces of our residents and tenants is priceless!
